Applications now open for Petrofac’s Graduate Programme 2019

Petrofac first launched its graduate programme 15 years ago and since then ourgraduate community has grown to over 800. We are a global organisation and proud of our diverse, multi-national culture which we continue to grow.  We’re now accepting applications for our 2019 programme, where graduates will be based in our offices in Sharjah, UAE.

Applications close on Monday, 25 February.

About the Petrofac graduate programme

The four-year programme is managed by the Petrofac Academy- our inhouse centre for employee development - and begins with an introduction to our business and the oil & gas industry. Graduates first learn about our strategy, vision, values and structure; what each part of the company does; and how it all fits together. Skills such as communication, project management and leadership are also introduced at this stage.

Our graduates then work in the business, focusing on technical training in their chosen discipline and gaining wider experience of our organisation. They then receive further on-the-job training with a tailored development plan and the opportunity to work on live projects – gaining early, valuable frontline exposure.

The programme is supported by our experienced trainers, supervisors and mentors who are there to encourage our graduates and ensure they achieve a successful career within Petrofac.

We are seeking applications from students who are due to graduate in 2019 or who graduated in 2018. If they are successful, following a rigorous selection process, they should be available to commence the programme in October 2019.

We look for graduates with degrees in the following disciplines with a minimum degree classification of 2.1 or GPA of 3.5:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical/Electronics/Software Application Engineering
  • Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Finance/Accounting
