Lecture by Mr. Olivier Hamant at the ENP

Professor Hamant offers a 1 hour conference format starting at 9 a.m., followed by questions / debate of approximately 30 minutes, i.e. 1:30 to 2:00.

a quick biography of Olivier Hamant:

Olivier Hamant is a researcher at the Plant Reproduction and Development Laboratory (Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon). At the crossroads between biology, physics and computer modelling, he has published nearly 80 scientific articles, in particular on the shape of plants and the associated biophysics. He has won numerous prizes, including the “young researcher” laurels from Inra, the prize from the magazine “La recherche”, the Paul Doisteau – Emile Blutet prize from the Academy of Sciences, the Schlumberger foundation prize for education and research. He is also a visiting scholar at Cambridge University (UK) and Kumamoto University (Japan). In parallel with this research work, Olivier Hamant leads training actions on the new relationship of humanity to nature, within the framework of the anthropocene collective of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon and the Michel Serres Institute.
