Acquisition of supplies, consumables, equipment and chemicals for the benefit of the practical work laboratories of the School’s departments
In response to the request for clarification received by one of the companies having withdrawn the specifications from the consultation cited above, herewith these clarifications relating to lot No. 10
1- the dimensions of the plates (Copper metal plates, Zinc metal plates): The metal plates (copper and zinc) will be used to assemble a simple electrochemical cell, Dimensions: Length 10 cm: width 3 cm: thickness 1 mm
2- The required characteristics of the safety cabinet for the storage of chemicals (acids and bases) are:
1. equipped with a connection for external ventilation;
2. excellent corrosion resistance (made of materials such as high-density polyethylene or stainless steel with a special chemical-resistant coating (designed to meet specific safety requirements for the storage of corrosive substances);
3. adjustable polyethylene shelves to hold containers of different sizes and collect accidental spills;
4. lockable doors.
3- The multimeter (of good quality) will be used to evaluate the potential between the electrodes with the following characteristics:
